El autor, texano, desentraña lo que significa ser originario de ese estado norteamericano y lo hace con sinceridad en la mayor parte del libro. No se salva del elogio grandilocuente a su tierra, pero tampoco oculta los defectos que percibe en la idiosincrasia texana. Buena opción de lectura.
