This is a quality rack at the price for bench pressing with a narrow 5' Olympic barbell. If there's anything else you want to do and you have space for a full-width rack, buy that instead.The uprights of a typical home rack are 45" or so apart. The shaft of a 7' Olympic barbell is about 52" between the sleeves and easily fits that sort of rack. A 6' barbell (43") and 5' barbell (37") won't.
